Comme Des Garçons AW2002 Cuba Shirt
This shirt employ a tropical color scheme and vintage comic book-style Cuban iconography to depict various interactions revolving around cigars. Cuban cigars were a symbol of quasi-illicit luxury during the embargo (U.S. president John F. Kennedy purchased 1,200 before sealing off the country), and remain one of their largest exports. These pants were among the heavier pieces produced in a set that included jeans, t-shirt, and a trucker jacket, each of which is cut with a vintage Americana-style fit.
